Bishop Juryj Kasabucki protests against the actions of law enforcement agencies on the territory of the Red Church
The Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Minsk-Mahilioŭ, Bishop Juryj Kasabucki, strongly protests against the actions of law enforcement agencies, which soldiers and officers blocked the entrance and exit of St. Simon and St. Helena Church in Minsk (Red Church) in the evening of August 26.
The hierarch warns the state authorities of the Republic of Belarus and the leaders of law enforcement agencies that such actions are inadmissible and illegal. The Church is a sanctuary of God that is open to everybody.
Bishop Kasabucki demands to immediately unlock the entrance and exit of the Red Church and not to prevent anyone from entering and leaving the sanctuary.
The protest of Bishop Juryj Kasabucki, the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Minsk-Mahilioŭ, is supported by Bishop Aliaksandr Jašeŭski, the Episcopal Vicar for the City of Mahilioŭ and Mahilioŭskaja Voblasć. The hierarchs hope that such actions of law enforcement agencies on the territory of the shrines will never happen again.
